Warren | 18 Months
john deere tractor and watermelon toddler session_0023.jpg

I'm so excited to feature my own sweet little boy on the blog today!  This little boy turned 18 months old this week and I can hardly handle it.  In the last month or so I've become accutely aware that he's not a baby anymore and is a full-blown little boy who runs and talks and loves all things cars, trucks, balls, bubbles, dogs, and watermelon!

It's amazing to me to look back at pictures from a year ago and see just how much he's changed.  Every time I think about all the things he is capable of now, I'm truly in awe.  Often I catch myself thinking that he's such a miracle - and he really is.  That got me thinking and I realized the other day that we always say 'they are such a miracle' in reference to children.  The thing is though, we were all that little once and we need to be reminded that we are all miracles.  I think it's easy to lose sight of that as we become older and consider ourselves ordinary, but our very existence and all of the things we are capable of really is miraculous. Just some food for thought ;)

I originally bought these overalls fully intending to take Warren to a sunflower field this summer for some photos, but the prolonged flooding in our area this summer took over the fields and the sunflowers didn't really bloom this year.  Luckily for us, our neighbor, John, has a vintage 1947 John Deere tractor and he was more than willing to let us use it for a prop/backdrop for this session!  John is known for giving the neighborhood kids a ride around the block on the tractor and after we were done shooting Warren got to go on his first ride.  He LOVED sitting up there and 'driving'!  Thanks, John, for making his night!

PS: John is selling this tractor, so if you are interested let me know and I can get you in contact with him!
