Luke & Jenny | A St. Charles, MO Wedding
Today I'm super excited to share my cousin's wedding on the blog! My cousins and I have always been close, but since Luke and I are the oldest we've been hanging out together the longest! We have so many great memories over the years that it's impossible to write about them all, but they include family trips, fishing trips (lots of fishing trips!), making up new games with our sisters, playing jokes on people, rides to school, snowball fights and plenty of inside jokes! If you know Luke then you know he is always up for a good time and doesn't take life too seriously, so I knew it would take a special girl to be the perfect match for him!
In early 2010 Luke introduced our family to his new girlfriend Jenny. Our family has a tradition of always eating dinner together at Grammy's house on Sundays and the unofficial ruling is that 'It isn't official until you come to Grammy dinner'! It can be kind of intimidating with 18 people in the room, but Jenny held her own and now her and Luke are married and have a beautiful family with two children! These two are the perfect match!
Luke and Jenny got married in early November and, aside from some wind, it was the perfect day! We started out the day with Jenny, her mom, sister and daughter getting ready at Hollywood Blonde Salon in St. Charles, MO where they got their hair and makeup done. Meanwhile, back at the house, the guys were hanging out and eating some BBQ.
I absolutely loved the red and gray colors and the rustic country details. And Jenny made a BEAUTIFUL bride!
After the ceremony we snuck away to this nearby barn for some beautiful portraits! We were losing daylight quickly but Jenny & Luke had a small bridal party so we were able to get a variety of shots before the sun went down- including one amazing silhouette shot with the picture-perfect sunset!
The reception was one of the most fun receptions I've ever been to! Luke and Jenny danced the night away with family and friends after good food, good toasts and good cake!
Luke & Jenny - I love you guys so much and I'm excited that Jenny is officially part of the family! Thank you for asking me to capture the day for you - it meant the world to me and I had such a great time! Here's to many more years of memories and happiness!
